Feiyang Tang, PhD

Dr. Feiyang Tang is a software privacy expert with a PhD from the Norwegian Computing Center and Norwegian University of Science and Technology. His doctoral research was part of the EU’s Marie Sklodowska-Curie Privacy Matters (PriMa) project, focusing on AI, software engineering, security, and privacy. Dr. Tang currently works as a technical consultant, helping software projects in industry improve quality, enhance security, and build better AI applications. He is an active member of the OWASP AI project and frequently participates in its activities. Prior to his doctorate, Dr. Tang obtained a master’s degree in AI from KU Leuven and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Computer Science from the University of Auckland. His research explores the intersection of law, philosophy, technology, and policy related to privacy and data protection.
